Project Overview: This project focuses on two key objectives: preparing a comprehensive water efficiency plan for Orascom Industrial Park and Polaris Industrial Parks, and conducting a detailed study to identify the best options for wastewater separation and collection from the tanneries of Robbiki Industrial Park. These efforts are part of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).Context and Goals: Aligned with the overarching goal of GEIPP, the development objective of GEIPP-Egypt is to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) approaches. This includes scaling up resource productivity, enhancing the economic, environmental, and social performance of businesses, and promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development. Through this initiative, the project seeks to integrate sustainable practices into industrial operations, contributing to long-term environmental stewardship and industrial resilience.
